Memories to Last a Lifetime

About Ginny's Kids

Ginny died at the age of 50 after a battle with cancer. Her brother Marv wanted to do something in her memory for families to create memories that would last a lifetime.

Ginny’s Kids International is an all-volunteer 501 c (3) organization devoted to bringing help, hope and happiness to families in their time of need. The mission of Ginny's Kids is to create cherished memories for families with children facing life-threatening illnesses by providing them with an opportunity to experience a dream vacation.

Ginny’s Kids has provided a variety of dream trips to over 340 families since 1982. The majority of the families travel to Disneyland, all expenses paid, with the participation of local businesses in Arvada, Colorado and Anaheim, California. Funding for these trips comes from the generous donations from individuals and businesses as well as our fundraising events such as our annual Wine Tasting and Golf Tournament.

Ginny's Kids Application Fact Sheet

  • Ginny’s Kids International evaluates the specific needs of each child and each family circumstance.

  • In order to be eligible for a Ginny’s Kids experience, families must be recommended by a professional working in the medical community, and the child’s physician must approve the child’s participation in the experience.

  • Ginny's Kids is a great option for families who may have already been granted a previous "wish fulfillment" but have had a very long treatment course with multiple doctor visits or hospitalizations or whose diagnoses may have excluded them from consideration by other organizations.

  • In addition to offering an all-expenses-paid trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, Ginny's Kids also considers applications for camp scholarships, local excursions, cultural experiences or other trips.

  • Children of any ages can be considered, but we believe the optimal experience is for children aged 3 to 18.

  • Immediate family members (parents/guardians and siblings) are included to accompany the child on the dream experience. In limited situations, grandparents, cousins, or other family members may be able to be included as well.

  • Applications for Ginny’s Kids International dream experiences are considered on a monthly basis and can often be approved very quickly, so it is recommended that the Ginny's Kids application be submitted within three months of the desired experience.

  • Blackout periods for travel do apply, especially for excursions to Disneyland, so it is recommended to work with Ginny's Kids to clarify dates and opportunities desired.
